TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 2013 and have continued to push myself in as many areas I can. I taught Science for two years and have taught in the Gifted and Talented classroom since then. I have developed enrichment units for teacher throughout the school to help them push the students that are excelling. In the gifted classroom, I have gained experience teaching all subject areas but emphasizing rich critical and creative thinking skills in each unit.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is extremely diverse. I believe that the subject matter should help determine the method of instruction. Depending on what the students are learning, the teacher needs to take that into account so that the instruction is optimal. I have worked with Problem-Based Learning, Inquiry, Webquests, Centers, Direct Instruction, Self-Regulation projects, etc. Each offers they individual strengths that I have enjoyed developing.
