TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my 23rd year of teaching high school English. I have taught or currently teach Freshman English, Sophomore English, American Literature, Romanticism, Journalism, Newspaper Production, and Expository Writing. I advise my school's student newspaper and I teach SAT prep classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm a mix of a little bit traditional with a bunch of creative. I have high standards for myself and my students. I am constantly changing and fine-tuning, and each year I bring new ideas and activities to my classroom. I keep the focus on the students and strive for them to be engaged and active in discussion, reflection, and collaboration. My classroom is plastered with creative student work and writing.
