Teaching full time at an independent school in Philadelphia. B.S. and Masters degrees in science and science education, respectively. Certified to teach biology, chemistry, and general science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Engaging, thought-provoking, exciting lessons are my bread and butter. If students aren't interested, they won't learn. I love finding simple, creative ways to communicate complicated material. Everything I do is student-tested and Miss Q approved! I am a skilled science illustrator that uses an iPad to appeal to visual learners.

AP Scholar with Honor, Livingston County Youth Award, Presidential Gold Key Award, and Nancy Gnan Foreign Language Award. Blanche Gray scholarship and Blaze Soccer scholarship recipient. Three-time All Greater Rochester Honorable Mention. National Honor Society member and Advanced Regents Diploma holder.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Formal science teaching experience (middle school life science, high school biology, AP biology, environmental science, zoology, geology), AND research in the Costa Rican jungle, educating youth at an aquarium, and tutoring (secondary and post-secondary science and scientific writing). Currently employed as a Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, and Zoology teacher in Pennsylvania, and LOVING IT!
