TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for eight eventful years. My experience extends from 3rd grade to college students and many grades in between. With a reading minor and a background in middle level science & mathematics, I enjoy all areas of education. This is my passion and I am very grateful to have found it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I rely on data to drive my instruction as well as to set goals with my students. Students set their own high expectations and understand what learning is required for all standards.

I have co-authored an article titled "Common Core State Standards: Rubrics to Evaluate Student Proficiency in Fifth Grade Mathematics" in the Washington State Kappan, Volume 8, Number 1, Winter 2014 Issue.

I earned my Bachelors and Masters of Education through Central Washington University with an Elementary and Reading Endorsement with a Math emphasis.
