I started my teaching career in 2013 after graduating with a Master's in Teaching. Over the past eight years I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. I have worked with a variety of exceptional learners such as Gifted and Talented, ELL, SPED, 504, and at-risk students.
I currently reside in Denver, Colorado where I teach third grade at a public magnet school for GT/HGT students. There's something special about the curiosity, confidence, and excitement of 3rd grade, which is where I've taught for the past 4 years.
I believe lessons should be FUN, interactive, and memorable. I plan my lessons to incorporate various methods of instruction, movement, and group activities to reinforce the week's learning. I build in time for classroom community and character building each week because I'm passionate about growing global citizens!
