TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a Suzuki violin and viola teacher with a large studio in St. Louis, MO. I have over 13 years of teaching experience and have registered teacher training with the Suzuki Association of the Americas. In addition to teaching viola lessons and group lessons, I also love creating resources for my students and their parents, as well as organizational tools for music teachers. I have a Master's degree in viola performance and 14 years (and counting!) of teaching experience both in private lessons and public school and after-school strings programs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I consider my teaching style to be supportive and playful with high standards. I believe that all children can learn to play music at a high level and I strive to engage my students in the learning process so they can take ownership of their musical journey. In addition to teaching the Suzuki repertoire and a variety of supplemental materials, I enjoy arranging works for viola and violin ensembles.
