Hi teachers! My name is Silvia Torta, and I am from Dynamic Language Class. I have been teaching Spanish and French for +10 years in different locations worldwide: London, Vietnam, and currently in Hong Kong. I taught middle and high school students within the British and American curricula. I also taught IB and AP, and I would like to share my resources and experience.
I instill curiosity and passion for the target language's cultures in my students by using a variety of activities based on authentic materials, games, and creative projects. My classes are student-centered, loud, dynamic, and fun, with loads of pair and group work and a lot of moving around. Differentiation, self-reflection, and peer assessment are embedded in all units as I try to empower my students in their learning. My lessons fully engage all the students in each task as I use a formative methodology that allows me to hear all voices and doesn’t leave any student behind.
