I have been a classroom teacher for five years with a range of experiences across subjects including History, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Religious Studies, Philosophy, Work Studies and Media Arts. I love developing my own resources, coming up with new ideas and catering to the learning needs of my students. I have worked in top-end private schools and low socioeconomic public schools. I was previously a youth worker and have a clear understanding of the social-emotional impacts on students. I also worked in sexuality and relationship education, giving me a strong understanding of physical development of students, and the value of the relationships/friendships in their lives. As a teenager, I worker in Kumon Education Centres, tutoring students in Maths and English up to university level.

I try to make my learning fun and to include interesting facts and activities in my lessons. This means that lessons activities and learning outcomes are differentiated to allow varied engagement and responses from students.

I enjoy those moments when that student you're fighting to help learn takes a positive step in the right direction.

I have completed three university qualifications: Bachelor in Community Welfare (Youth Work), Graduate Certificate in Theology, and Graduate Diploma in Education. I completed my primary school and high school/college education in Canberra. I also completed the Kumon English Education Programme.

I value learning and education. I believe that sharing resources through my store allows me to develop my skills and creativity as a teacher, meeting my professional needs to always be learning and improving.
