I have 21 years teaching experience in both traditional public schools and independent public charter schools. I have enjoyed working in both elementary and middle school.
I consider myself a progressive teacher, one who teaches to the whole child. Character development, mindfulness, and community building are all essential parts of an effective classroom curriculum.
Gilder Lehrman History Teacher of the Year for the State of Arkansas, 2007
I graduated from the University of California at Riverside with a B.A. in English Literature. I went on to get my credential and Masters in Education from National University. I am a lifelong learner, but tend to do independent study for myself, now.
I make resources for myself all the time; I like to share!
