Derkacs Designs for Special Education

I am currently a special education teacher working a co-teaching model in a high school setting. I have also done this at the elementary level and worked in a low-incidence classroom. I work with students who have a range of ability levels. I am very passionate about what I do, love every minute of my very difficult job, and pride myself in my work and evidence-based practices I use in my classroom. I have also worked as an inclusion teacher for high incidence students in collaboration with general education teachers.

I prefer to observe students as they learn through group activities. I love that this style of teaching allows for a lot of peer interaction and socialization which is very important for the kiddos in my classroom.
