Theatre has always been a love of mine and for many years, I enjoyed performing. Have graced stages in New Jersey, Indiana,Utah,Washington, and Southern California. This acting experience has surely helped me in front of a classroom. And just to top it off, I've raised four boys of my own. That taught me the most of all! I've taught in special education classrooms in high school and junior high in both Southern California and Utah. I was engaged in full instruction of the special education, self-contained classrooms; Responsible for the writing of Individualized Education Plans including assessing students with norm and criterion referenced tests, IEP meetings, etc. and contributed to all aspects of the special education program including as an elementary special education aide and tutor. Additionally spent five years as a substitute teacher for all grades which gave me a broad understanding of the needs of all learning levels.
