I am a busy teacher like you! I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades and teach STEAM to K-5 students. Science and Math are my favorite subjects to teach. I love these two subjects because there are so many ways to make learning and practicing hands-on, collaborative, and FUN.
Before I became a teacher, I was a research scientist in the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. I love sharing my passion for science with my students.
I strive to be a teacher who inspires children to want to learn. I want children to wonder and question the world around them and to have the tools to find those answers. My classroom is full of activity where children learn to work cooperatively and independently - I try to do as much discovery and hands-on learning as possible. In my class, prepare to work hard, get your hands dirty, be actively involved and be able to break out into a song (and a dance)!
