Debbie Cavalier was a classroom music teacher (K-12) teaching general music and chorus for many years before she became a music education publishing professional with CCP/Belwin and Warner Bros. Publications. Her dedication to music education is reflected in the 100+ music education methods books and choral arrangements she has written for Carl Fischer, First Act, Alfred Publishing, and Warner Bros. Publications.

Debbie is a Grammy award-winning songwriter with her song entitled, “Walk Away” which was featured on the 2011 Best Children’s album, All About Bullies ... Big and Small. She is a performing/recording artist with her kids/family band: Debbie and Friends. She recently served on the UPCEA Board of Governors, the Boston Higher Education Innovation Council, and was honored with the She Rocks “Inspire Award,” and Boston’s “50 on Fire Award” for Education.
Debbie earned her Bachelor's Degree in Music from Berklee College of Music in Boston. She earned her Master's Degree in Education from Cambridge College and has continued her studies through executive education programs at Babson and Harvard Business School.
In her spare time, Debbie is a volunteer musician with the “Musicians On Call” organization, singing Debbie and Friends songs bedside to brave young patients at Boston's "Floating Hospital for Children" at Tufts Medical Center.
