I have seven years of teaching experience. In that period of time, I have taught in two states at two drastically different schools. I enjoyed working for a STEAM school which allowed me to provide hands-on, inquiry-based learning projects for my students.
I believe that the best learning happens through experiences, so I do my best to regularly engage my students through hands-on lessons. I'm passionate about flexible seating and making movement a part of a child's everyday learning experience. I believe in building relationships and teaching character before academic work begins.

I had mixed educational experiences as a child that truly shaped the teacher I have become. My elementary years were spent in a private elementary school where we were taught from a structured curriculum Very little interest-based learning occurred for me until middle school. I had the privilege of attending a publicly-funded classical school where I learned to appreciate science through hands-on learning. My final years of education were spent in a suburban public high school. I completed two bachelor's degrees in elementary education and pursued my master's degree after three years in the classroom. It's been a joy to grow as an educator!
I live with my husband, daughter, and Golden fur-baby. We enjoy a simple life with amazing foods, loads of crafting/house projects, and walks around the park. Simplicity has proven to be my key to happiness.
