TEACHING EXPERIENCE

17 years in public education. I started off teaching second grade and grew to love the workshop model of teaching reading and writing. I apply these skills to teaching English Language Learners from around the world. My goal is for my Els to develop language through rich literacy activities that build both content and language.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to use hands on activities that promote higher order thinking! I want my classroom to be a home for my students. I want all learning to involve academic discussion and student reflection.
