I started my career as an animal trainer working at various zoos and aquariums until I found my true passion educating people about things I am passionate about. I had achieved my dream career as a dolphin trainer at Discovery Cove in Orlando when I realized my goals in life were changing and that lead me to my first teaching job. I was a 7th grade Middle School Science teacher for two years then I was given the great opportunity to teach in my field at the same high school my husband worked at! I currently teach Environmental Science, Marine Science, work with the Student Government, and I am the Senior Class Co-Sponsor.
I love hands on activities and stations. I am starting to learn more about inquiry driven learning and hope to one day implement more of that in my higher level courses.
