TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Welcome to my store! I have been in the world of 1:1 devices in a blended classroom for a few years now and it is amazing! I am working on becoming a google certified teacher because I really believe in the power of blended learning when there it is used to innovate and encourage 21st century learning. There is a balance that must be found in order to make it successful. I taught Kindergarten and First Grade for 5 years before deciding to move on up and try an upper grade. I've been in 4th grade now for a few years and am loving the change. I have a master's degree in reading and aspire to be a reading teacher one day in the future but until then my journey in 4th grade continues! Teaching reading is my favorite part of the day so I spend much of my time creating activities to support that learning block. Enjoy some of them here at my store. Please leave feedback! I would love to hear and learn from you.

MY TEACHING STYLE

This is my fifth year having 1:1 devices in my classroom, so I am still learning as I go and working towards transforming my classroom for 21st century learners. I strongly believe in a balance of technology, and hands on learning. I'll always see value in having students hold a book or pick up a piece of paper and a pencil. The use of technology has changed the engagement level in my classroom, though, and students are learning in unbelievable, innovative ways. I can't wait to share some of the activities that I have used and look forward to what is yet to come!
