TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching 2nd grade for many years I have my bachelor's degree in elementary education and also am certified to teach special education. I recently received my Master's Degree in Instruction: Teacher of Reading from Wilmington University! I also have a certification in Special Education: Early Childhood!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe students learn best by going through the learning process. Throughout a unit or day, the students experience a modeling portion, a guided practice portion, and an independent portion. During the guided portion of the lesson, I love to get the students moving and engaged! Therefore, I use a lot of task cards, scoots, and games. I believe students learn best from each other so I love grouping them daily! I also believe in the importance of small groups.
