TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have previously served as a school-based certified occupational therapy assistant for 21 years in a local public school system. I am now a pediatric and home-based certified occupational therapy assistant at a local pediatric therapy clinic where I have worked for a total of 6 years (non-consecutively). I have the privilege to serve as a contributing author to The OT Toolbox and have written other blog posts for Learning Without Tears, The OT Toolbox Community, and Very Well Magazine. I have presented at the NC Exceptional Children's Conference and at the North Carolina Occupational Therapy Association on topics related to school-based OT and pediatric OT practice. I have previously been a 4th and 5th grade Sunday school teacher along with my husband and have experience teaching children's church, mission friends, VBS and serving in nursery. I have served on our children's ministry leadership team. I am member of the local community-based Back 2 School Festival and serve on the supply leadership team.
