I taught Kindergarten for 9 years before becoming a mommy to my two precious girls that I now teach at home through play and fun activities!
I love teaching with hands-on materials. I believe everyone can learn, you just have to meet them where they are and engage them in level minded activities to grow their knowledge, confidence, and skills. Centers, play based activities, and small group are my favorite ways to interact with my children both at home and in the classroom.
National Board Teacher Certification NC Teaching Fellow
I attended Elon University as a teaching fellow where I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and minored in photography. After teaching a few years I continued learning through the National Board Certification process. After moving to Virginia with my military husband I attended William and Mary University where I received my masters in Reading Instruction.
I love teaching and have found making items for children or expanding on some of the items I already used has been a great outlet for me while I stay at home. I use these with my children at home and eventually will be back in the classroom and hope to use them there as well. I hope that through these fun activities you and your children whether in your classroom or at home will grow as learners and have fun while doing it!
