I love working with learning! Whether it's children, adults, animals or myself, learning is a huge part of my life. I have experience in delivering corporate training, boardroom presentations, strategic planning and I currently homeschool my kids (it is the best job I have ever had!). In order to keep my children engaged, I need to be current, succinct, on my toes and above all, creative. They thrive on challenge and will switch off with too much repetition. I hope some of my tools will be useful to you and that you enjoy applying them in your own classrooms or homeschools.
Montessori-inspired eclectic - I believe in following each child's interests, allowing them to explore the material as independently as possible. I try to design materials that are tactile and sensory as far as possible, developing their passions and enriching every part of their learning journey. When I do use printed material it needs to be effective and engaging so the children don't get bored. I am a stringent planner, using mainly theme-based plans and I covering the curriculum in a thorough way which facilitates easy reporting.
