6th year math teacher and former CPA with 4 wonderful teenage children. I have taught from 7th grade through high school and currently teach Geometry, Algebra 2, Trig, Precalc and Interventions.
Everyone learns differently so as their teacher, I need to provide learning experiences to meet the needs of all students. In this process, I help them realize that their peers don't necessarily learn like they do. By the time they are through with my classes, they have gained a great amount of insight into how they learn and how to be successful in their post secondary endeavors.
2016 Boettcher Teacher Award Recipient Student voted teacher of the month (the only time they did this at my school)

I chose to be a teacher. I chose to teach teenagers. I then chose to teach them math. Teaching is my second career. I was the typical "great student" in high school however, I didn't do well my first year in college because nobody ever took the time to teach me how to learn. It is my mission to help all students learn how to learn vs. just teaching them math.
