TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 19th year in the classroom. I have taught Language Arts, English, and Yearbook in grades 7-12. I enjoy working with teenagers and igniting their passion for reading, writing, analyzing, and creating. I currently teach sophomore and senior English, although I have experience teaching all grades 7-12. My TPT items are lessons and forms that I use in my own classroom, and all lessons are classroom tested. Additionally, I advise a 400+ page chronological yearbook. It's quite an undertaking. My yearbook forms and rubrics were developed over the years and are used in my classroom each day.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student-centered; technology; creative. If I am not having fun, I know my students aren't either.

BA in English from Arizona State, 1999. Post-Baccalaureate certification from Arizona State, 2002.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I also enjoy writing, photography, graphic design, technology, and spending time with my own two children.
