Life moves fast, so I run on coffee & donuts! And a lifetime of learning has led to a lifetime of teaching. I have taught within both informal and formal education settings and am blessed to have experienced diverse teaching opportunities. My education career has spanned state and national parks, PreK nature school, elementary science enrichment, high school science, and education graduate students.
With a strong background in science and a post-baccalaureate teaching certification, I am naturally drawn to the constructivist tradition. Teaching and learning are harmonious when the social, political, and geographical contexts are taken into consideration providing students with authentic and relevant learning experiences. I feel my purpose path is to advocate, train, and teach using udeskole methods or education outside the classroom.
