CHALKBOARD BLESSINGS

From the time I was five-years old, God placed the desire to teach upon my heart. Due to this, I knew that I needed to teach in a Christ-centered school. Upon graduating from college, that is just what happened. I have been teaching for 26 years. Along the way, my faith journey has evolved. And as it has deepened, it has made me a better teacher. I learned that no matter what subject a teacher teaches, it becomes more alive, more relevant, and more pleasing to God, when faith is a component. Though I am a Middle-School Integrated Language Arts teacher, I incorporate faith into everything we do. Think about it, what makes us who we are? If someone were to walk into our classrooms, would they know we were a God school (as my son likes to call it)? If they didn’t see the decorations, only watched you teach and interact with the students? Would they know? Walk into my classroom now, and you’ll know! If you go back a few years, I’m not so sure. Like I said, it’s a journey! And some of us are further along on our journey than others, and that is okay! God has now put it on my heart to start a TPT site specific for teachers that work in a “God” school / Christ-centered environment. I do have another site that has been successful, but this is specifically geared toward our faith-based schools. The lessons are intended to be a blessing to your students and school community. The money made from Chalkboard Blessings is intended to be a blessing to others. Chalkboard Blessings plan is to give back to God and his people, academically and financially. And so my goal, God’s goal, is for you to get these materials and use them in your classroom. I hope it is a blessing to you and your students. I know it was for myself and my kiddos! You see, God gives us talents. What we do with our talents?? That’s our gift to God. So this site is my gift to God. I hope Chalkboard Blessings continues to grow and grow so that it can touch many lives. The goal of many of the lessons is to connect the upper grade students and the lower grade students. You’ll notice that in many of the packets, you have been given upper grade and lower grade resources. Please share it with your colleagues. Teaching 20 + years....

I started Chalkboard Blessings for teachers in a faith-based environment. I noticed a void on TPT, which made me sad. I have my own TPT store- Dana Hoover, and have been very successful. You'll see, when you read my experience blurb, that this company...Chalkboard Blessings....is designed to be a blessing to other teachers. The money made will be used to bless those in need. God gave me the gift to teach....this is my gift back to Him and his people. May God Bless You All! Be patient with the site. I have so much to upload! This idea was actually inspired, I believe, by the Holy Spirit. From the point it was whispered to me, my mind has been flooded with ideas. I can't keep up! Thank you, God!
