TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for nine years. I am certified to teach K-6, Middle Level (7-9) Language Arts, Middle Level (7-9) History, and ESL (K-12). I currently teach ESL to students in several different grade levels, but have previously taught in a variety of grade levels and subject areas including the following: self contained 3rd grade, 4th grade Science and Language Arts, 5th grade Language Arts and Social Studies and 7th and 8th grade Language Arts and Social Studies. I am a jack of all trades!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to engage students from the moment they walk into my classroom until the moment they leave. History has always been one of my passions, and I believe if it is taught in the proper way, it will come to life for my students. I enjoyed inquiry based learning and a student centered classroom. I engage students in a variety of ways, but specifically aim to reach students using Gardeners Multiple Intelligences as my guide.
