I have taught in the first grade for twelve years and have been teaching since 1990. I love creating new and fun lessons for my students. My students are wonderful writers because we write each day. I am so happy I get to share some of my ideas with you!
I believe in learning while having fun! I have high standards for my students and they never fail to reach them. Children are incredible learners - never underestimate them!

I have five children of my own. My eldest is a computer engineering student in college and my youngest is in fourth grade. I taught all my children how to read and to LOVE reading. I had all of them in my first grade class - what a pleasure that was for me! My husband was an awesome teacher for 12 years and an administrator for the past seven years.
