TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching public school in FL for 12years. I have been a primary teacher for my entire career. I have taught students from all socio-economical backgrounds.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm not a big fan of text books for little ones. We naturally gravitate towards more authentic learning. I am a "go with the flow" type of person, and tend to let the students interest level, and involvement dictate the pace in our classroom. I use the Daily 5 and CAFE in my classroom religiously!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've gotten a few hundred "you're the best teacher ever" nods from my babies, and really that's all that matters!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelors of Science in Sports Management. But after years of coaching soccer decided teaching was more my style. I am ELL, and Gifted Endorsed. And Certified to teach Multi-age classrooms.

In addition to teaching, I have 2 beautiful little boys, and an extremely supportive husband. We adore our busy life in Florida and enjoy all the sunshine brings to us!
