C and B Primary Teaching

Cindy and Barb - We have over 50 years of teaching experience between us, from pre-k through 5th grade and from Central Florida to Southern Georgia. We taught a multi-aged classroom, which consisted of 8 kindergarteners, 8 first graders, and 8 second graders. Each year the second graders would graduate and the following year we would have 8 new kindergartners join us. This was a great way to learn how to differentiate across the grade levels and curriculum. We have presented at the Florida Educators Technology Conference, the National Association for the Education of Young Children Conference, and both the Florida and International Reading Conferences, as well as district and state workshops.

Both of us teach in inner-city schools, with this in mind we believe in the wholistic approach. By getting to know the whole child, this gives us the information we need to make our classrooms a safe haven for them. We use a hands on and center based classrooms with diversified instruction. We strive to make our classrooms a trustworthy environment where the student's can move forward at their level and pace.

The awards and honors between us are: Teacher of the Year for our schools - Social Studies Teacher of the Year for the County - Disney Teacher-rific Award

We both have Bachelor of Science degrees in Elementary Education and Masters in Literature and Reading.
