I have been composing music every since I picked up the guitar when I was 13 years old. Whether it be guitar or ukulele, rock'n'roll, jazz, or classical, I've always had a passion to create music. After writing rock music and performing/recording in rock music throughout my late teens and twenties I eventually went to college to learn how to read standard notation and become a music educator. I have been teaching music in schools now since 2010, with a great amount of success particularly in classical style guitar instruction. I began writing guitar music for my students in 2011 and haven't stopped. Some of my pieces have been used at festivals, but mostly general public concerts. I've had various guitar students playing music far beyond their grade/age level, as well as strongly succeeding at state level competitions. I believe much of their success came from inspiring them with great sounding beginning and intermediate guitar duets, trios, and quartets. Composing guitar (and ukulele music) has now become a huge passion of mine. I'm excited to share some of it with other teachers.
Hands on teacher with a passion for making connections with students and helping them realize their potential.
