TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my tenth year of teaching, and I have taught everything from Kindergarten to grade 6, and even spent a year as an SEA in a high school and tutored high school students. I have taught in England, north Alberta, and am now starting my third year in the beautiful Salmon Arm, BC, Canada. I teach second grade at a Christian School, and I love it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that learning should be fun and meaningful. I have an extensive teaching background from teaching in two different countries, every grade from K-12, and from teaching 5 split grades at once! I use games, music, movement, hands-on activities and I love transforming my classroom to enrich the learning.

I grew up on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada and went to school at first a French Immersion, then Christian School, where I graduated High School. I went to Vancouver Island University for a Bachelor of Arts with a major in English and a Bachelor of Education.

I have a beautiful puppy named Mika who is a Saint Bernard X Siberian Husky. I have a wonderfully supportive family, great friends and an amazing group of students who push and motivate me to be better everyday.
