Bonnie Murray McIntyre - Wise Owl's Nest

27 years as an energetic and joy-filled elementary school teacher in Las Vegas…that’s me: Bonnie Murray McIntyre (formerly “Bonnie P. Murray”). Now that I've gotten married and am living in California, I’m excited to become a part of the TPT community where I can continue to share what I’ve learned as a classroom teacher (13 years), teacher trainer (7 years), K-5 drama-humanities specialist (3 years), and K-5 library specialist (4 years).

Educators teach much more than subjects…we teach children, each of whom has unique abilities and needs. This huge responsibility can be emotionally, mentally, and physically draining for new teachers and veterans alike. In my store, you will find strategies for teaching to the whole child as well as strategies to succeed - rather than simply survive - as a teacher. Products which offer learning activities are correlated to the Common Core State Standards and combine educational brain research with creativity. Products which focus on your development as a professional educator are written with nationally recognized standards and principles of wellness in mind.

Authored two published professional books for teachers; earned National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist (2007); received the Milken Family Foundation Educator Award (2002)

Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading; Bachelor's of Science Degree in Music
