Bobs Automotive Lab Sheets

I have 31 years of Career Tech Education in Automotive Technology. I have been involved in writing the State of Ohio's Automotive WebXams, and served as advisor for Ohio's Skills USA Automotive Competition Committee. I tried to buy lab sheets that worked for me, but ended up creating my own to meet my needs. Since the State and National Standards are periodically updated, these lab sheets are not numbered making it easy to use the sheets for years and not have to update task numbers. (I learned that one the hard way) They can be aligned to the chosen standard by the lab sheet title.

I teach generic systems such as brakes, suspension, electrical, etc., rather than a specific automotive brand. I worked in the field at dealers, independent shops, chains and family business'. I was surprised that some techs would limit themselves to a known brand and were reluctant to work on an "off brand." I want my students versatile enough to be able to diagnose and work on anything that comes in the shop.

I have been ASE Certified since 1979! With various levels of certifications from Automotive Master, to L1 Advanced, and Alternative Fuels. Recently I have reduced my ASE Certifications to Engine Performance, Electrical, Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair, Brakes, Suspension and Steering, and HVAC. I have Nc3 Snap-On Train the Trainer Certifications in Battery, Starting, & Charging, TPMS4, Precision Measuring Instruments, Mechanical and Digital Torque, Digital Multimeters, ShopKey Pro Level 1 and 2 and Apollo Scan Tools.
