ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Billy Ferguson is a 30 year veteran of music education in Texas public schools. He is currently the music specialist at McKamy Elementary in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Billy completed Orff levels 1 and 2 at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and Level 3 and Master Class at the University of Memphis. In 2008 he attended the International Summer Course for Movement and Music Education at the Orff Institute in Salzburg, Austria. His choir was invited to perform at the TMEA Sate Convention in 2007 and 2013 and 3 times he has been named Teacher of the Year. Billy has presented workshops at local, state and national levels including TCDA, TMEA and AOSA. He is an adjunct faculty member at Hofstra University in New York where he teaches Level 1 basic in the Orff Teacher Training Course.
