I began teaching ESL in Japan October, 2000. Since then, I've taught all manner of students - from kindergarten to retirees - a variety of language and conversational skills. Along the way, I've become interested in creating games and lesson activities to help students achieve their language learning goals.
I teach a wide range of students in everything from individual tutoring sessions to 100 group public speaking classes. Thus, as a necessity, my teaching style ranges from formal to informal, but with a heavy emphasis on learning through gameplay and language usage (as opposed to repetition or writing review). I believe that the key to learning is having fun with the material and strive to structure my lessons accordingly.
Yet to be added
I graduated from Arizona Western College and Northern Arizona University.
When not teaching, I enjoy making things and playing with my dog.
