TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since 1996. I have been in many grade levels and have seen the changes in Education in those years. I am the teacher others come to when they want ideas and resources. I like to share what I have in the hopes that we will reach our students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I think children learn best when they can experience things themselves. Hands on activities are important to allowing them the experiences they don't always come to school with.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have served on various committees in my years of teaching, including campus planning teams, district planning teams, curriculum writing teams, and behavior management teams.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended the University of North Texas where I earned my degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have been teaching ever since, most of my experience is with second grade.
