Specializing in all things ELA, behavioral supports, and professional development. I am currently in my 9th year of teaching. I spent 9 years as an NYC-DOE Educator for in a 12:1+1 setting. Our focus is high need students in a specialized setting. I taught a variety of English Language Arts courses for grades 9-12, with students of varying abilities. Students in my classes read anywhere from 2nd grade-10th grade and are standardized assessed students. I was the Dean of Students for 2 years out of the 9 years. Teaching has always been my calling, and I absolutely LOVE my job!
I love to bring things back down to the basics for our students. A lot of my material is cohesive and straightforward. It is broken down for my students to easily follow and engage. I sometimes think our students and us get lost trying to always incorporate the new fad, that is always ever-changing, and believe that sometimes paper and pen is the way to keep the mind truly flowing. I love creating innovative products to meet the needs of my students while fostering memorable and engaging learning experiences. Teaching is my true passion, and I cannot imagine doing anything else!
