B is for Believe

I currently teach in an alternative education program that focuses on behavior modification. My main instructional focus has been math and science, but I'm also moving into the socio-emotional learning classes. Nearly all of my students qualify in special education. Our program is like a one room schoolhouse - small with all levels of ability.

I know that most of my students do not like school and haven't been very successful at it. I try to make learning fun in my classroom and provide a wide range of activities for students to participate in. It is important that the tools I use have a purpose, and if they can serve more than a single purpose, all the better!

Let's face it. I'll never be a major creator of products here. My classroom and school keep me more than busy enough. What I do have to offer here are tools that I created myself when I couldn't find one to fit my need. I'm hoping that by sharing them, maybe someone else will find they work just right for them too.
