For the past 10 years I have transformed venues like schools with vibrant large scale paintings and digital illustrations. I was commissioned by St. Francis de Sales College in 2017 to embellish the Art and Design Foyers in vibrant large scale murals. Together with students we adorned the basketball courts in a colourful pattern. I was commissioned by Christian Brothers College in 2018 to paint throughout their foyers in the dining courtyard, library spaces and student staircases. I was commissioned by the JLTASA in 2019 to illustrate and present free graphics for use by teachers and students in Japanese classes and exchange programs. In 2020 I painted huge murals with the words 'Resilience' and 'Integrity' outside Seacliff Primary School. I've created graphics for use inside swimming schools (such as the kids class level mascots at Waves Swim School, West Lakes) and outside StateSwim on Morphett Road. In 2022 and 2023 I exhibited with the unique Marine Discovery Centre inside Star of the Sea school with a series of marine illustrations. For my third show I gathered local artists to interpret the theme of 'Deep Thinking' around our oceans.
I create engaging learning experiences suitable for all ages, whether in the classroom or at home as brain-boosting games. My approach to education is characterized by vibrant visuals, imaginative content, and a strong emphasis on making learning enjoyable.
I'm yet to receive any nominations for official awards honouring my work, but hope that my illustrated characters and worlds win your love and support in one day doing so.
I achieved SACE in 2012 with merits in Society and Culture (Street Art) and Design (Fashion). But here's where things get interesting. Instead of following the usual academic route, I veered off track when some big corporate players noticed my distinct illustration style. So, I decided to drop my Bachelor of Psychology (Hons) studies at Flinders University and jump headfirst into the creative scene. I've since designed and painted for our local arts festival the Adelaide Fringe, and for clients such as Westfield, Holiday Inn, Central Markets, University of Adelaide, CLINK Hostels, various councils and government departments. But it's not just about the big gigs. I've also been making art a community thing. I run private paint classes and guided walking tours out of my home studio on Jetty Road in Brighton Beach, a place where you can spot a bunch of my public artworks at 8 spots. I'm all about spreading the creative love, and I've earned respect from both friends and rivals along the way.
With a creative spirit and a commitment to making education something people want to seek out, I specialize in crafting visually stimulating and imaginative educational resources, including PC games, colouring sheets, chatterboxes and snakes and ladders printables. My goal is to make learning an exciting adventure for all ages.
