Most of our experience was teaching 6th grade math in middle school. We have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grade in the elementary and middle school setting. These teaching positions were in a Title One school, a very high affluent area, and a school with a wide range of SES.
Our notes promote number sense and deep understanding of math concepts by guiding students through concrete, representational, and abstract processes. These notes correlate with the Common Core standards.
Over the years, we have had consistent praise and feedback from parents and administrators. We often were given comments and compliments about our ability to transform students' math attitudes, skill level, understanding, and performance on assignments and assessments. We have helped kids learn to love math and see its importance in their day-to-day lives through our notes.
We both are math endorsed teachers with Masters Degrees.
We are sisters who successfully taught students in low-income areas and very affluent areas. Our math notes have helped students of all ability levels to be successful and confident in math!
