I am in love with teaching using my iPad. I have some other teachers/supervisors who criticize me for letting my students “play” apps. While it may look like we are playing, I assure you we are very focused on several IEP goals. While some apps have

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello! This is my seventh year teaching in the inner city of Kansas City. I created My Video Schedule, which is the first app to combine video modeling into a schedule while providing reinforcement. I decided to create products for individuals with autism which can compliment and/or supplement, the My Video Schedule app.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am very creative and love to make learning fun. While I am structured in my day, I offer a lot of opportunities for choices and communication. I feel that school should be exciting and each day is a new adventure! While some days are challenging, I am excited to exhange ideas and resources with fellow teachers on TPT! I can't wait to hear from you!

I received my undergrad from Northwest Missouri State in Special Education and General Elementary Education. I hold a masters in Special Education with an emphasis on Autism Spectrum Disorder from the University of Kansas.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am excited to be a part of the TPT community! I look forward to helping each other and sharing ideas! Sometimes the strangest things will work, so I love thinking outside of the box to get through to the toughest students! Thanks for stopping by my page!
