During my time as an undergraduate student at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX, I tutored chemistry and physics courses for 2 years. In August of 2020, I began pursuing a PhD in chemistry at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. Since then, I have conducted research involving organic synthesis accomplished through superacid chemistry and have been a teaching assistant (TA) for organic chemistry I and II. These experiences as well as being a student fresh out of taking science courses, make me very familiar with the content taught in these classes, and understanding of how important it is for these topics to be communicated effectively.
I like to help others learn difficult content so that hopefully they will be inspired to learn even more! I also try to communicate subjects in ways the students can relate to, therefore making it easier for them to learn.
- Certified in Microsoft Office - CPR Certified (2015 - 2016) - Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (2016 - 2018) - Presented an Undergraduate Research Poster at the Spring 2019 ACS Conference
- I graduated from Health Careers High School in San Antonio, TX in June of 2016. Here I took courses such as: • Medical Terminology • Anatomy & Physiology • Principles of Health Science • Medical Assisting - I obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX in in May of 2020. Here I took advanced courses in the STEM field such as: • Organic Chemistry I & II • University Physics I & II • Calculus I & II • Physical Chemistry I & II
I make worksheets, labs, tests, and assignments that help reinforce material that is being taught. Nothing matters more to me than providing practice for students to help solidify their understanding of topics that they are learning.
