I have been teaching middle school social studies for 20 years. Over the years, with new education and initiatives, my classroom has transformed into a fun, student-centered, and active learning environment. I have a BA degree in Elementary Education with a MA in Language and Literacy and am highly qualified in middle school social studies. In addition to my degrees, I have completed an additional 30 credits in many different in areas including Cooperative Learning, Brain-Based Learning, Backwards Design Lesson Planning, Differentiated Instruction, and Cooperative Discipline to name a few. Professionally, I have served on a few revisions of our middle school social studies curriculum.
