Hi, I'm Amy. I have been teaching for 9 years; 4 years as a 3rd grade teacher, 4 years as a Reading Specialist/RtI teacher and 1 year as an Instructional Coach. I love teaching and couldn't picture myself doing anything else.

I am passionate about helping struggling students grow and discover their love of reading. I especially enjoy integrating math, science and social studies into literacy learning. I am a font-a-holic, blog stalking, pinning kind of teacher.

I am a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International.

I earned my first certificate in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education Approval. After teaching for 3 years I went back to receive my masters as a Reading Specialist. While working as a Reading Specialist I earned my LSB1 Special Education Endorsement and am half way to earning my ELL Endorsement in the state of Illinois.
