TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been doing my dream job for the last five years. I teach Regents Earth Science and this upcoming year, will teach various literacy courses. I work with students from 6th through 10th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is fun and challenging. I believe that learning is supposed to be an enjoyable, rewarding experience and for students to truly excel, they must be in an environment that is stimulating, purposeful and safe. It is my job to help students become thoughtful and critical thinkers, to solve problems and to learn the skills which will help them be successful in whatever they choose to do. In addition to teaching science, I am a certified literacy specialist, therefore I have a strong focus on instructing and implementing literacy strategies to help students become good readers.
