I have been a special education teacher for 22 years. I have taught resource and self-contained and I have taught all grades. My passion is teaching students in the moderate range and students with autism spectrum disorders.

I was the Teacher of the Year at my last school school and for my former school system. I was also a top 10 finalist for the 2013 Georgia Teacher of the Year. I have been Teacher of the Year in two other schools. I am a Philip Wright Award winner which is given to individuals who are advocates for those with special needs.
I have a B.S. degree in special education with emphasis in intellectual disabilities. I have a M.S. degree in elementary education. I have an EdS. degree in teacher leadership. I have endorsements in ESOL, online teaching, reading, and Teacher Support Specialist.
I have 3 chihuahuas at home.
