I started out teaching in a 6th grade Science inclusion class and then moved to a Math and Reading Interventionist for 7th and 8th grade for low achieving students. This past school year (2013-2014) teaching Reading in a 4th grade ESL class and LOVING it!!!
I have many teaching styles. I try to have some sort of technology integrated into any lesson that I am doing. I love group work and having the students be in charge of the majority of their learning. I think this helps the students to learn the basics of responsibility. I try to make all of my teaching fun and relevant to each and every student.
Graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Texas at Tyler
I have an Associates of Arts and an Associates of Science degree from Kilgore College, and a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC-6) from The University of Texas at Tyler.
I married my high school sweetheart of 8 years in July 2012. We met in the same school that I am now teaching at. I have a wonderful support system from my family including my brother who is currently serving our country as a Lieutenant in The United States Marine Corps. He is currently deployed in Afghanistan and we are anxiously awaiting his return soon. I love kids and teaching and I hope what I can give will help you to love it even more too :)
