TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Hello Friendly Viewers, Quick thank you for taking the time to check my site! Ok, so I began teaching in 2002, one year in 2nd grade and the rest in pre-k. I have a lot to be thankful for when it comes to my job. I truly enjoy what I do. It’s never boring in pre-k, that’s for sure!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style blends both the lesson plan feature of curriculum-based teaching and the play-based fluidity of emergent-style teaching. Some label this blended style teaching. My daily and weekly plans are in place, but I am flexible with my schedule, allowing time to finish a painting project, extend story time to a whole group activity when students can't seem to get enough of that day's story, etc.. My Documentation includes classroom pictures, observational notes and progress reports/report cards.
