This can be a class activity to create new boomwhacker pieces. I use this at the end of class if we have finished our lesson for the day. The students love being able to work together to create music. I pick students to come up and move one color

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught two years of high school band and choir. I am now in my fifth year of teaching. I am an elementary music teacher in Virginia.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in teaching with high energy. Student learn best when they are excited about what they are doing. How can they be excited if they teacher isn't excited first? In my technology based classroom, we are always engaged in some kind of hands on activity. But most importantly I believe in teaching character through ALL of my music lessons. These are the most important (and most remembered) lessons I will ever teach.
