I spent five years as a 2nd and 3rd grade teacher in an urban elementary school setting before transitioning to Title I where I served as a reading specialist serving all students in grades K-6 for three years. I then became my school's first Instructional Coach, working with all teachers, primarily in the content area of ELA. After completing my MBA in Education Leadership in 2015, I had the opportunity to move into the role of Assistant Principal at the school I'd been working at for my entire educational career. During the fall of 2019, I decided to pursue my dream of starting my own consulting and professional development business, with a focus on building trauma-informed classrooms. As a Certified Trauma & Resilience Practitioner, I work with schools wanting to improve upon the collaborative culture in their building.
I believe in a collaborative leadership approach to coaching teachers. My passion is helping educators improve upon their craft by building a foundation of trust and open communication. These attributes encourage positive relationship building between teachers and administrators which ultimately benefits students.
